When you walk into a festive fair, you usually expect colorful stalls and bustling crowds. But at the NCUI Haat Rakhi Mela held over three beautiful days on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of August there was something far deeper in the air.
It was the warmth of smiles, the pride in an artisan’s eyes, and the quiet joy of finding a gift that truly meant something.
If you missed being with us in person, we have recorded the laughter, the vibrant colors, and the heart-warming vendor stories in our official Rakhi Mela event video, embedded directly on our website!
3 Days, Countless Smiles, and a Celebration of True Craftsmanship
For three days, NCUI Haat transformed into a lively courtyard where passion met appreciation. Artisans, women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and cooperative vendors traveled from different corners of the country, bringing along pieces of their heritage, their hard work, and their hear.
The Treasures That Touched Our Hearts
Walking through the stalls felt like taking a journey across India's rich craft heritage:
- Sacred Threads Made with Love: Shoppers fell in love with artisan handmade rakhi options. From soft organic cotton rakhi weaves to intricate resham threads and bhaiya bhabhi rakhi set pairs, every thread carried a human touch rather than a factory stamp.
- Graceful Textiles & Jewelry: Visitors spent hours exploring hand-painted Kalamkari leather clutches, soft handloom sarees, delicate ethnic jewelry, and handcrafted crochet products that felt like wearable art.
- Purity in Every Harvest: From golden, pure organic honey brought directly by rural beekeepers to cold-pressed wellness essentials, every stall brought wholesome, natural goods.
- Home Traditions: Families gathered around stalls featuring hand-hammered brass urli for home entrance spaces, ceramic pottery, and carved brass pooja thalis to bring sacred warmth back to their homes.
